Me neither, I still can't believe the ***#1*** Windows System Tool , regedit, still had that fugly small icon...
SO FINALLY!! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!! I've been searching the web for over an hour for exactly this!
Its easy to find a plethora of cool looking icons on the web, but to find some that fit PERFECTLY with the "artistic style" of Windows? Very hard. So if you ever want to extend the concept to a true "windows tools icons" for all those so very often used windows tools that we use, but that for some reason Vista/Windows 7 didn't provide a large icon for, then that would be truly popular -and impressive- icon collection.
Congrats for the superbly great work! 20 thumbs up!

On a side note: the 16x16 icon should DEFINITELY be seen from a straight frontal view. See the icon in "Computer" or many other system utilities for examples of this.
Thanks, glad you like. I do agree that the 16x16 needs to be reworked, but this was just a "givin' it a go" type thing. I just used the program's built-in features to reduce the larger icon. Had I more time, I would have taken longer on the smaller icons. I may revisit this in the future.
This looks very nice! I'll see how will it look on my PC.
[link] Well, I think you need to specifically make a 16*16 version of this icon, otherwise it'll look messed up. See how the 16*16 icons of other tools work. The Disk Defragmenter icon could be a good example of this.
Basically speaking, in your case, just make the icon face the 3D camera directly, and add lines to make the icon look clearer, and it'll work.
The higher resolution versions look very nice and should need no enhancement.
Thanks for the feedback - I kinda figured the 16x16 might go a little wonky - tried to enhance edges and stuff...was just trying to avoid looking like the original icon too much - it is a tight design...even if a little old.
